@schlagerfan:
Did you check the retrieved .srf file already?
If it's bigger than 0 byte, does it perhaps only contain 0x00's?

Hi,
has anybody had the same problem?
"please wait while scanning the tv for an open telnet port" ...
This hangs forever - any ideas?

edit: problem solved. After restarting/reconnecting several times it finally worked.
Great!

I can't decode files with big size. Can you fix it in next version?

Hi all,

i have extensive read this thread about the following error which i had within the majority of my videos in my TV:
[ Unable to retrive XXX.key. No point in continuing copy-process..
Process FAILED somewhere down the road for XXX.srf. ]

I have tested versions 1.8.2.53 and 1.5.3.4 in Win 7 and 8 and the workaround [chmod 755 /mtd_rwcommon/samyGOso] didn't help.

HOWEVER, everything works fine with version 1.5.3.1 in Win XP!!!

Does anyone have a clue about this problem?
I would appreciate any help/advise. I need to run the PVRDecoder in Win 7 or 8.
Thanks.

Can you only record from Analog TV channels, or are there any other options .

Here in Belgium if we wanna watch digital TV, we 've have to use a decoder box.
Or A CI+ Module.

Would it be posible to record any off those streams then ?

Well, i don't know the exact situation in Belgium, but i've just read something that said, they only broadcast HD channels, which are encrypted. In many other countries, you get the SD channels unencrypted, and the HD channels encrypted, but you can still watch the SD ones without needing a CI+ module.

With the official CI+ modules, they can set recording restrictions. For example, you can only record for timeshift purposes, and after 90 minutes the recording won't play anymore. Or you can't skip the ads. This can normally be avoided by using an "unofficial" CI+ module like Alphacrypt which doesn't care for the restrictions. If the channels are not restricted, just encrypted, then you can record them freely, of course.
