[How To] Get root access on F series

Hi,
samsung has released a new software update for UE50F6500 models.
I would like to update it now but I'm not sure if that new software could potentially block root access. if so, can I perform a software downgrade to return to the previous version?
Does anyone know if the app update function must be disabled to prevent skype is updated (the patch is applied via the skype widget)?

@vector: Smart Hub->More Apps->Options->Apps auto update and set it to NO (I've traslated from my italian menu, sorry if not perfectly corresponding)
After this setting has been applied, the future updates for all the apps will be suggested by the Smart Hub when they will be available and you will selected the ones in which you're interested (not Skype! ).

@m2tk: YES, I agree with you when you write that probably in the root guide could be useful to specify to don't rename the zip widget file before to use it!!

@hispan: It was a stupid mistake, and when I've seen it I didn't believe to my eyes!!

Any suggestion for a more confortable shell? The /tmp/bin/sh doesn't start...

I think /tmp/bin/sh is the default shell.
There is nothing more comfortable than this!

Thank you vector, I agree with you about the shell, probably we can try to find on Internet a compiled bash shell for ARM cpu... I'll look for it!

And you can be sure I won't execute the su cmd!!

Update my UE50F6500 with latest firmware (1114.1) from samsung website. Telnet/ftp continues to work!
