Just bought new UE22H5600AKXXU, sold as having DLNA Client, auto-upgraded itself during first ever installation to 2970 f/w. Doesn't recognise Serviio server on same network segment (Cu connected). Existing UE32D5500 works perfectly with Serviio, appears under AllShare.
Samsung support insist that a) the UE22H5600 *does* have activated DLNA client, but admit that b) it doesn't have AllShare.
TV about to go back for refund. But before I pack it up,can anyone share experience (+ or -) about this 22in H series, and DLNA?
Thanks.
DLNA client on UE22H5600AKXXU?
Re: DLNA client on UE22H5600AKXXU?
DLNA servers should be visible either in the list generated by the Source button, or in Smarthub -> Media list. I have my H6400 working with mediatomb (though not happy on how Samsung force-splits content in pictures/video/audio).
H6400, firmware 2602.2 downgraded to 2130
Re: DLNA client on UE22H5600AKXXU?
Answered my own question: this TV, with this firmware, ONLY connects to a DLNA server via WiFi, not RJ45 cable. Odd. Set it up via WiFi, sees DLNA server, which then becomes available as a Source input, so nice and quick to select. Change back to cable connection - DLNA server is gone.
