H series region change

Hi,

i want to share with all of you my experience for changing the "region code" (Local Set).
My TV is a Samsung UE22H5600AKXXU the firmware installed is the last [Version : 2116.1]
First try :
pressing on remote : INFO+MENU+MUTE+POWER (from stand by), it goes into service menu but the "LocalSet" is not visible
Second try :
download "ruSamsungTVCommunicator" unzip, disable firewall on my Win7 Ultim 64 bit, run ... nothing, the program refuse to work
Third try :
Build my own IR transmitter (http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Remote ... m_IR_codes)
... 2 IR leds, Jack, patience .... OK
download the wave files and try ... very difficult to see working, sometimes yes and sometimes no,
seems there are problems with IR receiver on TV set, used the IR extender that comes with the TV, better results,
info is working, mute is working, but unable to use "INFO_FACTORY_inv.wav",
after many times triyng to see working, an idea comes in my brain:
press INFO on remote then immediatly play "FACTORY_from_REMOTE_inv.wav" : WORKS !
i was able to change the Local Set to my zone !

some more hints:
- use WinMediaPlayer, i try VLC, not working
- use max volume on WinMediaPlayer
- use max volume on PC
- Start TV in normal mode
- IR leds of the transmitter pointed to the external IR
- distance between IR Leds and external IR : circa 10cm
- press INFO on remote pointing the IR of the TV
- after changing the local set press power on the remote to shut down the TV

Probably the file "INFO_FACTORY_inv.wav" is too speedy, or the two commands "info" and "factory" are too near eachother.

Hope this will be useful for someone ... in trouble as i was ....

Tnx mate for this info . With your tips i change region to poland from germany. But some channels not working anyway . I have 2nd tv (philips) all channels working with same cam (conax smit) and card... I choose this tv because of sat certificate for pay tv in poland. Looks like its all bullshit. I should choose philips again...

Hello all
Just to say that...I made it! I can still barely believe it! UE55H6400 delivered yesterday and locked to France...and I'm in Italy...so all channels were in random order starting form 789 or so...a bit of a disappointment.
Now, thanks to all your suggestions and especially to those posted by skyone just above, I have been able to change the local to EU_ITALY, and now all channels are in the right order, numbering is ok, MHP is working etc etc.
I used the procedure described by skyone with the IR extender which came with the TV, WMP and waw file FACTORY_from_REMOTE_inv.wav played right after pressing INFO on the remote. Thank you!

I plain to buy Samsung http://www.samsung.com/vn/consumer/tv-a ... H5303AKXXV in spec have Tuner DVB-T2/C. Can someone extended SM check this model support DVB-C or can read for me Tuner of this model. I want buy to watch DVB-C program. When you ex SM can you change region and Localset ? With E and F Series i much change region to EUROPAN, Localset: EU i have DVB-C option in setup Channel, my Region Asia/Vietnam.

H Series have DVB-T2/DVB-C. i was going to Service Menu change Cable support OFF-ON, Region is locked with ED-Viet. In Broadcast/Ariel have option change Ter/Cable change to Cable will have option to input Freq/Sym/QAM to sreach/store DVB-C channel.

Thanks! i was buy this model AU40H5562 in VietNam, i go to service menu, Control->Sub.. change Cable Support OFF->ON (this option enabled to change), now i can search/store DVB-C program of my provider TV DVB-C.

I have bought a UE46H7000 and it's sold as a UE46H7090SVXZG. For me living the Netherlands I couldn't get the SmartHub to install dutch apps. I tried the change store option at step 3 at the setup menu, and it showed me the menu, but as soon as I finish I end up with English apps. I tried the IR method with the external blaster from Samsung and playing a sound file from the pc.

First it didn't work, but then I noticed there was still a tiny bit of protect film on the ir blaster. After i removed it, the file INFO_FACTORY_INV.wav worked on the TV. I've changed the localsat to EU_BENELUX. and after a fresh restart and a factory reset I still ended up with USA apps.

Even when I combined it with the localsat setting including the smart hub location change, I still ended up with English apps. So i might think in this firmware there are no Dutch Apps somehow?

Are there any other possibilities to try for me?

I will swop you this one for yours!! UE40H6200AWXXN . It is locked to Benelux!!

How can I restore it?
