*** Requests for apps/patches H series ***
Re: *** Requests for apps/patches H series ***
Well, TrueHD is simply not supported by Samsung TVs, and I don't think anything can be done as long as there's no hardware support.
Anyway, I see your headphones have only RCA or optical input (right?) so high bitrate lossless codec is useless since SPDIF supports no more than (lossy) DTS/DD 5.1, and RCA implies (lossy) conversion to analog/stereo...
You still can convert unsupported audio tracks to something "readable" by TV

yes for the lossless compression codec HDMI is required, mine has a SPDIF input, this headphone SONY MDR-HW700DS supports lossless compression codec like TrueHD but when my TV does not support the codec this headphone is useless. my TV plays DTS-HD master codec (lossless compression) but I think it converts that to the normal DTS codec, cause in the file info shows DTS as audio codec and in my headphone shows also DTS..zoelechat wrote:Well, TrueHD is simply not supported by Samsung TVs, and I don't think anything can be done as long as there's no hardware support.

Long time idea, already much investigated myself about that, but simply impossible: only PVR cares of bitrate (at least on pre-Tizen)Borygo77 wrote:Guys any way to pull out from somewhere bitrate info from channel we are watching ? That would be nice feature

I'm also looking for channel logos on K, but for now found nothing convincing. I wonder if it's for DVB at all and/or if it's not only when you have subscription to some specific paid channels providers...
Surely could be tricked, but not reached that point yet (far from priority )

Hello samygo users,
before i rooted my smart tv i used a dreambox.
And with the dreambox channel editor it was possible to insert iptv channels in your bouquet.
Is it possible to insert iptv channel in the smart tv channel list?
Perhaps you can create a data channel and insert the link to the channel.
have someone an idea how it can work to get iptv channels in the channel list of the tv?
