[App] libNetSwitch - Auto-LAN switch for H "Network" root

Post by zoelechat »

Extract attached archive to USB/SamyGO, reboot TV, plug cable, setup network and you'll be rooted AND on LAN :)

Lib will automatically re-switch to Wifi when TV "normally" power off to prepare next boot, because root itself still needs TV to boot on Wifi. It means you might have to do it manually in case TV unexpectedly power off (crash, power loss... for example).

In case something goes wrong, just remove both extracted files from USB/SamyGO.

So its more considered to be a workaround, than a fix? Cant test it, since i successfully downgraded after root :-)
Anyway good Job!

Well, you can call it like you want, but there will never be any "fix", because latest root NEEDS wifi, that's where is the breach :)

If it switches to LAN it works, that's all it's meant to do. I guess it's more a problem with your network, set it up (at all or) manually and/or fix DHCP if needed :)

Setup network manually and use fixed IP for TV (well, that's already what I said above...)

Hi , same like jimmybones and TV freezes after 2 minutes , removed files and all is ok.
UE55HU8590 T-GFP9DEUC 1280.8
UE55HU8590 T-GFP9DEUC 1280.8 root ok - no OTN
after downgrade
UE55HU8590 T-GFP9DEUC 1230.2 root ok - OTN ok

I see. I don't support latests fw with greyed OTN, moreover not blocked on router level. Crash is expected if net switches "while TV is being downloading latest firmware" :)
