Re: Firmware download list for J Series

I have the same problem with my UE50J6275
After updating CEC cannot automatically connect to Kodi. But I can connect it through tools menu - it works until I switch to another source.
I've contacted Samsung, but got only basic recommendations: "check your connection, reset your settings, check for updates" bullshit :(

Why would they want t to block Kodi?

I have used different raspberry Pi's
Rest my TV
Different Kodi builds.
CEC works but you have to select it from the tolls options on that particular source.

CEC is an industry standard so I can't see how you would block it.

Wow. Samsung support was terrible. He reset my TV. Said he had fixed it but needed me to explain what the issue was.
He agreed there was an issue.
He confirmed we cannot downgrade.
I asked when it will be fixed and he said in the next firmware
I asked when that will be and he couldn't answer it
He did say if this isn't resolved in the next few months I can get a new TV... I am not sure on how that would work but he confirmed the phone calls are recorded..

I would say anyone with this issue, call and raise a ticket

i have exactly the same problem...
i open a ticket to customer support and they answer

I am sorry to know about the issue you are experiencing on your Samsung TV model UE48JU6400. In regard to your concern, please be informed that we don't have firmware version to solve this issue. We don't have any known issue regarding our Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) especially to the model of your Samsung TV. Please make sure that the external device is also supported by HDMI-CEC because Anynet+ cannot be used to control external devices that do not support HDMI-CEC. Please enable Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), press Menu > System Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) > On. Please also consider checking your connections, check for faulty connections between your TV and external devices. Please also eliminate the possibility of a loose connection to your TV, ensuring that connecting leads are secure and not dirty or damaged.
