RC compatibility

Post by beatfreak »

Has anyone ever tried to use a j-series remote control on a older samy (like C/D/E/F) ?
If they work that would mean sams still uses the same IR codes (E0E0 pre_data) and we could finally have a master-code-table with function-number, key-code and ir-code.

did one of the devs come across a mapping table like this

Code: Select all

       KEY_POWER 0x40BF
       KEY_1 0x20DF
       KEY_2 0xA05F
       KEY_3 0x609F

?

FYI: you can close your ssh session with SamyGO with

Code: Select all

~.
If you can't fix it using dvct tape, you are not using enough dvct tape.

Nope but I tried "older remote" on J and works as a charm :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

What about the general list of key functions (the one used for control via network, not related to ir commands)? Did they change it over the years? The last one i have seen had 255 keys/function numbers.
