While new C550 hack was tested, tv has been broken. And you know, it was restored by reseting eeprom with shortening pins on some microscheme (IC501). For other models it can be 8 pin unit 24?32, 24?64, 24?128 or another 24LCxxx. Before 24(L)Cxxx could be any letters, but as usually here are AT (Atmel).

Red line: TV of from wall. Join pins shown in red and plug tv to wall. After lcd lightens on, release pins. pins 6 and 5
Blue - try if red line way does not work. pins 4 and 5.
After tv boots, you have to do Factory reset.
In picture is shown C550 board, be careful, do not touch other pins. Use in own responsibility.
In this way are service menu faults to restore - after setting wrong model, tuner and so on. I think it is good to know, that such thing works.

cheers!

I'm not sure how this would make you able to boot correct from a falty flash...
Yes, you are right. TV boots and accepts, that memory flash is total empty and boots with default values. To reset SM it is needed to do factory reset.

If red-line step does not work, another try could be blue-line step. I don`t think it resets wrong partition flag in your case :(

Call service. They`ve left broken part on your TV. They must repair TV for much longer, not for one day, right?
