[SOLVED] CY-STC1100/XC on UExxC6500

Post by beatfreak »

just got my CY-STC1100/XC, under Windows it gets recognized as Moip_HD with VID:04E8 PID:2058

however my TV (UE40C6500 with fw 3011) doesn't recognize it / Skype says cam not found

Code: Select all

such a big difference?
moeztrabelsi wrote:I attached STC1100 camera and it's working in LE37C650 running latest firmware 3011.0, pushed skype, when started it start updating and now it is working with no problem at all, and the micro can pick up even very low voice
;-)
or do i have to reinstall skype?

manually executing /sbin/usb_mount/usb_moip_cmd brought no difference

output of dmesg:

Code: Select all

usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using ehci-sdp and address 2
usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
 ****** HD Product*****
MOIP device connected Manufacturer: Samsung Product : MoIP_HD
my next steps:
uninstall skype (via app manager)
Downgrade to 3009.2 (via Version.0 method)
Factory reset (via ServiceMenu)
reinstall skype
no skype update
no cam found :(
but hack/SamyGO is still active, so i guess that not everything has been deleted/overwritten...
same with 3015

does this mean i have to format mtd_rwarea, rwcommon and appdata ?

FYI: you can close your ssh session with SamyGO with

Code: Select all

If you can't fix it using dvct tape, you are not using enough dvct tape.

the only difference i see is "usbhid" but what human interface device should be used here?

could you post your output of:
dmesg (after plugging cam)

an do you have the libHDCamera.so in appdata/moip ?
what happens when you insmod it?

somewhere i have read that when the camera is plugged there are kind of fifo files for audio and video streams created
that would be the last thing i could check to determine if my cam is working

The TV has usb and jack audio in (according to manual it's used for PC-->TV connecting with DVI cable). So my question is simple is is possible to use any of this audio sources and pass the data to "/dtv/pcm_in" socket? the app works very nice and I think that the hardware may not be able to process the video so buying skype camera may be a waste of $ but it should be able to handle audio.

FYI: you can close your ssh session with SamyGO with

Code: Select all

~.
If you can't fix it using dvct tape, you are not using enough dvct tape.
