Airplay mirroring server that runs on tv

Post by Mkò »

Is there a porting of airplay server for samsung tv?
a sort of airplay server that can be installed on tv?
the dongle like ezcast support airplay and have a linux kernel on it so maybe is possible to port it to the tv that has linux kernel and arm cpu.
Anyone have more info about this?i think it would be useful to have an airplay server that run on tv withouth external dongle i think is such a demon that runs in background.
xbmc support airplay now but there isn't a port of xbmc for the tv.
i found that there are airplay server for linux so maybe one of ths can be port to the tv.
the crappy dlna that doesn't support the mirroring is not very useful.

i think as mediatomb doesn't get recognized by tv if it runs on local hardware the chances for airplay won't be any better, you would need an external network device that does the mirroring even if your server-bin runs on tv...

FYI: you can close your ssh session with SamyGO with

Code: Select all

~.
If you can't fix it using dvct tape, you are not using enough dvct tape.
