HTML5 video+subtitles fullscreen issue

Post by oto »

In latest firmware I no longer can see subtitles in Browser for HTML5 videos when switching to fullscreen. Others please check if it same issue in your TV and in which firmware it still works correctly.

Examples for test(try both):

Hello Everybody!
Please check on your TV if these links work or not. It is easy just type the goo.gl short urls directly in browser. :idea:

Btw: on PC (Firefox), also no subs in fullscreen :P

Fixed 1st link it had a copy error in URL - now try goo.gl/sZxQff

Thanks, so SRT subtitles also doesn't show in K. What Firmware version?

Yes some Browsers on PC also has this issues with wrong z-index order for subtitles but I think TV should order correctly by default without any hacks needed. Problem is that same issue is if using IPTV apps so it is a global.

Well, your short URL still doesn't work, I had to type full one (took me a while :D)
Subs from 1st link are working everywhere in fullscreen (TV/PC).
You're talking about "some browsers on PC", but I tried FF/IE/Chrome (not as if it represented 99% browsers), and subs from 2nd link are working NOWHERE in fullscreen, so I think more of a bad implementation :)

Thanks. Will ask Samsung developers if they have a clue how this should work.
