Hi All.
I recently got myself the SAMSUNG 55" Curved TV JS9000 SUHD. Overall I am very happy with the TV and its features. I do have one problem which I could not find a solution for up until now and I was wondering if anyone encountered it before and maybe can help out.
Since I am interested in the Amazon Video and Netflix services, I changed the TV, during the Smart HUB setup to US. Everything seems to work fine, all the default apps are installed smoothly (i.e. Youtube, Amazon Video, Netflix, Hulu etc) but when I tried to install any other app which is not installed by default (i.e. PLEX etc) the download button is grayed out and there is a message below it saying that "Smart HUB is being updated", I waited more than enough time (even more than a day ) but it stays like that.
I did my search and tried to change the region to the UK and viola, no problems. I could install any app after the Smart HUB initialised. I would stick with the UK region but seems like the Amazon and Netflix are of the UK region and I am interested in the US one.
My questions are:
1) have anyone encountered it before?
2) Any solution? or is it something with Samsung firmware when putting regional setting to the US?
Thanks in advance!
MC

Re: Problem: Samsung SUHD 55 JS9000 - Apps are grayed out.
The problem is because of M-go app. M-go is a featured app in US store and the install fails because of a missing emp in European firmware and this causes a Smart Hub update loop.
I got Smart Hub out of the update loop by temporarily blocking Samsung server (cloudfront.net) in router. Restart TV and then open Smart Hub and You will see that the Download button is no longer greyed out. Then remove the block, restart TV and everything should work, You can download anything from the US store except M-go.

M11, thanks. I just tested it but still no-go.M11 wrote:The problem is because of M-go app. M-go is a featured app in US store and the install fails because of a missing emp in European firmware and this causes a Smart Hub update loop.

I blocked on my router cloudfront.net, *samsung* *sam*, reseted the SmartHUB, chose USA as region, opened smart hub and still greyed out button.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Re: Problem: Samsung SUHD 55 JS9000 - Apps are grayed out.
I only needed to block cloudfront.net (and all subdomains). I have done many Smart Hub resets and this has worked every time. Check that Your router actually blocks all subdomains of cloudfront.netMadChorus wrote:M11, thanks. Just wanted to thank you mate! I just got the time to meddle with the setting and it worked like a charm, exactly as you said, I blocked cloudfront on my router and the Download button immediately became clickable. Unblocked cloudfront so I can download the Plex app (and others).
Perfect!
Thanks again
