Yap, and re-flashing emmc won`t help here. But indeed, do not stop, please. Need to know if it is possible to re-flash emmc w/o desoldering it from mainboard.

not my field of expertise but i guess it should be posible to hook those spi pins to smth like raspberry GPIO pins for read/write access:)

Hook required pins on any available place, not only db9 port. I2C exists somewhere else on the mobo...

I think best you use self-made programer (few principal schematics is available) with dedicated software (postal2/3), which we know works with weltrend firmware. It is up to you, but then you have to invent the wheel... Sure, if you hook the micom chip directly, then it should go (probably)...

Some quote from refference
5. Working with the program (postal2.rar) is shown on the video

only we do not use VGA-connector
Means they didn`t use vga connector but succeed in flashing weltrend? :)

They use SDA, SCL test pads near wt61p805. People use rt809f, for this task as well. Either via vga port or dedicated pins.

For example UE40F6650ABXKZ:

p.s. can you check, it can be, micom firmware exists on WINBOND 25Q40CL SPI flash, which is 8-leg SOIC chip and can be readed/flashed by conventional SPI flasher (even with CH341A...) :)

For example on BN41-02148A BN94-08039S (UE22H5600..., same goes for F5500 and maybe some other...) it is IC1304.

Dump IC1304 with any SPI flash tool you have and let me compare it with some dumps i have on my PC.

I`m not expert here, i`m learning the isp programming as well. So i can not troubleshot you. Indeed, here is a piece of info i found what could help you to undestand the thing. https://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?t ... =20#p91799

No wp pin is needed. As you see programmer has some communication via IC2 line and turns micom in to isp programming mode by sending some consequence of bytes. possible to get weltrend properly flashed, you have to chose different version of chip in programmer OR strip empty code from dump before to flash (coz size differences).
juusso wrote: Important, that WT61P805, which we have on most B to F series TV`s ( while WT61P8 is used on LG, Philips some Toshibas and maybe other) has reduced internal SPI flash size (48Kb) and before to flash, dump must be reduced (removing empty code) to adjust size. Else flashing error occurs w/o chance to reflash firmware.
If you flash 65Kbytes to 48Kbytes chip (e.g. 805...) then you always get procedure failuer and get crc mismatch.

Try decrease read/write speed. AND do not do erase w/o being sure you can flash something correctly until power off.
