masterturk wrote: Sat Apr 01, 2017 8:16 pm if anyones interested i now know how i got into the advanced settings lol once you are in the service menu:

-go to 'SVC', then 'Other setting', then 'CAL Data restore'
-after this, click return until you are at the first menu and you should now see a 'Advanced' option at the bottom.. hover over it and click '0' four times. this should pop up more options

even existing options gain more settings. i found the local dimming setting! but turning it off resulted in a dim panel :( so had to turn it back on
Would you be willing to take some pictures of those advanced options and post them here, like the first post?
Maybe it needs a combination of settings to disable the auto dimming.

Thanks!

How to enable satellite tunnel, I provided to enter in service menu and in tuner it shows S_T2S2C_AV? Is that correct because I am not able to enter in broadcast menu?

My location is Albania and I want to use satellite tuner but can't access.

Hi, I have news for enable pvr in k5607.
I found a new option in service menù with this trick:
Hotel mode on, add usb fat32 in the rear of tv, now go on clone tv to usb and go mtr option.... tad-ah, have more voices as pvr etc :D
Remember to disactivate the hotel mode first off the tv ;)

I didn't test if the tv record, I not have antenna cable, I'm using ssiptv but if anyone of you try report the result, thanks :)

Hi,

does anyone have pictures of the service menu of a ks8000 and can provide them (Or check with mine)? I need these for checking my settings valus ,whether they are the origins. I got this TV from a friend of mine and he unfortunately did change some values, but can't remember what exactly it was. :oops:

MOST IMPORTANT:

ENGINEER OPTION > TYPE OF PANEL KEY = ?
SVC > EXPERT = ? (ON/OFF/FIX)
SVC > PICTURE DIRECT = ? (ON/OFF)
SUBWOOFER SUPPORT = ?
RS-232 JACK = ?
FRONT COLOR = ?
TYPE = ?
TUNER = ?

I would be very grateful for any help!

i remembered i was gonna post images of the extra advanced options but that ZIP file has them all :) so if someone could look through and see a way to turn off dimming (without disabling the backlight setting)would be awesome. like does anyone know what the settings in the EPA.png, Dyn_Peak_Max sounds like something to do with backlight :?

Also i feel those images should be in the OP, amazing quality and has every possible option

Thanks. Here is the same as PDF, browsable with hyperlinks and searchable as text. That way you can look for "dim" keyword :)
(I see "Local Dimming: 1" somewhere...?)

yes local dimming is there, but turning it off results in a dim panel with no ability to increase it
