Hello All,

Thanks for the information. I bricked my Samsung UN50KU6300FXZA. I changed the region to Caribbe and enabled the PVR. It worked great. Only problem was, I couldn't enable bluetooth. So I tried changing around from Model to Model staying in the same UKU6XXX family at first but I could not activate bluetooth.

It's a bluetooth Samsung Smart Remote, so this was a problem.

I could use my phone app (works via wifi) and the Factory Svc Remote to control the TV, but got tired of that.

Finally, I changed to a OLED model with that has the CPU etc as an external box connected via cable.

I have been unable pull up factory menu as I am invited to connect the box.

I removed back and attempted to find the SDA and VCC and the correct EEPROM, but I found many EEPROM-type chips and am not sure which one.

I have attached a hi-res image also.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Thank you. It was there. I found it, and it worked perfectly. Took me probably 30 tries though, but it worked.

Hi everyone

I did the same silly thing and asked to plug in the connect box.

My issue is - I've performed the steps as stated and I know it's correct because the TV boot logo shows "SMART TV" when I short the SDA and Ground but still unable to get into service mode.

When I feed power to the TV it auto starts so I'm unsure how the op used info+menu+mute+power if the TV auto starts. As I understand this needs to be done from standby.

Any help as to where I am going wrong will be much appreciated- I've been trying a few days now.

Many Thanks

Tv restores its previous power state when fed, so if you don't want it to auto-power you should power it off by yourself (not by unplug). Press power button on remote for 3+ seconds should do it in any case I guess.

Thanks, thats one part I guess I had wrong.

This no luck though. I have the same model as the op BTW.

I'm using the old samsung normal remote AA59-00607A - Picture attached.

I scheme the remote is the issue now - but I also tried a few IR remote apps.

I got the SDA and GND short correct - I know that's 100% - When I got the short connected and I power on the TV,
"SMART TV" text comes up but if not short circuited "SUHD" text comes.

I'm executing the steps as stated but not greeted with enter factory mode text. :( :(

Any ideas?

You should maybe (re-)read carefully the wiki article (e.g. try VCC/SDA...).

Hi, I did read over and over. I even tried the 3.3v + EEPROM SDA

I worked now by joining EEPROM SDA+EEPROM WP and 3.3v pin.

Thanks for your replies zoelechat.

Talking to someone who can relate does not let you give up so soon :)
