[ROOT] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares

Here are software that related with Samsung F series TVs.

Last week I talked with head of Samsung security team from Korea and that's EXACTLY what they DO and WILL DO :) Any other stupid suggestions ? :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)

Then your blocking tutorial is outdated and they managed to break through again.
Anyone should look at that network connection and data transfer.

Nope :) No update here :)

P.S. The point is NOT to block updates on router. Point is to block CORRECTLY :) :D :lol:

That's good to know.
I think i managed to block them correctly now. (I use a fritz box router)
It looks like had a blacklist, but having it isn't enough, you also have to allocate that list to a device or profile. (lol, failed)

BTW. i still don't think, its because of the OTA updates. I reformatted the Stick from fat32 to ntfs, and finally after fresh setup i got root access again.
Because fresh installation should get you back root access, but it didn't work for a while, even without internet. And if it would be an OTA it would be permanent. Like said, with ntfs stick it works again. (The question is, till when ... ;))

Thank you for this method of rooting.I used it last night on a F6400 firmware 1113 and it worked just fine.I used a 2GB Silicon Power USB flash formatted to FAT.You're great!

Hi,
i had tested rooting my Samsung F7000-Series with actual firmware version 1130, 1132.4 and 1133.2 and it's working great.
The firmware-updates does work without blocking/bricking my tv.
Access via telnet is possible. Oscam is also working.

I am NOT sure. Don't try rooting at all :) I am NOT sure ;) :lol: :D There is 1% it WILL brick your TV :)
