Your question is a bit vague, and so is your explanation of your set-up:

How are TV and NAS connected? Wireless or wired? How is your software connection: NFS, Samba, DLNA ....

I have had similar problems,with the very same error message. It turned out that my wireless router had insufficient bandwidth for proper HD-transmission.
(NFS-mounted NAS, 802.11 b/g network). With a newer router (802.11 bgn) everything has been working fine since 15-odd months.
