Feature Requests:

1) Would be nice to have the option to customise the names of the Direct Source buttons.

For example:

HDMI 1 -> SKY
HDMI 2 -> DVD
HDMI 3 -> PVR
HDMI4 -> PCH
etc

2) Documentation on available keycodes. Would be happy with a simple list in readme.txt

Keep up the great work :D

You could change button names by self, source code is included ;)

but i suggest too - read user button names from config file...

(Got it working by changing to 3G network, but after this works on 2G as well )

Oh, one issue- power OFF button does not work for me...

Today i played a little with sbav1`s tool "Keycode input box" and found some extra keys:
514 - FactoryReset and power off (same as FactoryReset from SM, date of purchase set to today, i needed to set debug and watchdog off from SM again, EDID fail - needed it on and set to write to get success)..

I think these codes are related to PIP or its behavior is similar to ttx screen splitting. (info for adding some extra sources to pip? - 528)
520 - divides screen to 2 parts
521 - back to full screen
522 - back to full screen
523 - another screen divide
528 - PIP to full screen and switch to analog channel, no volume at all...

529 - get caption "working" on screen
530 - get caption "not working" on screen

And now - i was a little scared about after i entered:
531 - gave FW version on screen blinking in red and strange - i couldn`t get from this "state", no power off from RC, TV`s behavior got strange... I think i sent some Factory RC keys to my TV...
I got TV stand by by key 152 (finaly after some researching codes from 500 to 1000 :x ) and TV was back to normal state.

533 - some Service menu settings on the screen. Get back by pressing 533 again.

For mine LE40B651:
520 - Divide screen with vertical stretch
521 - Small screen in corner
522 - Smaller screen in corner
523 - Divide screen with preserving aspect ratio
524 - Small screen top left
525 - Small screen top right
526 - Small screen bottom left
527 - Small screen bottom right

It would be great if there is code for switching Audio source for PIP... PIP would be fully covered then

Thank you, I will try it out... 1 more question please, could this be ported on iphone? LIke in the C series?

After testing it! It works like a charm :) I really need it for iphone if its possible.. There is one for C series developed by Samsung itself.. But doesn't work on B-series. I believe this desktop app can be ported to iphone but we need to ask developers for iphone...

Hello all,

I'm currently working on an iPhone app for the B-series Remote.
I only use the command codes that I found in the source codes of the Windows application to control the TV.
I have a lot of ideas for the user interface itself, by using smart buttons, gesturing, using the iPhone keyboard to control the YouTube interface, etc.
Here are some screenshots of the very first beta (only functional, no graphical masterpiece):

I have a few questions that you can hopefully answer, since I am not familiar with the Open Source and GNU license:
- Since I only use these key codes from your source code, do I have to comply to the GNU license and publish all my source code of my iPhone app?
- If that is the case, will Apple OR you allow me to upload this app to the App Store, since the Apple EULA does not follow the GNU (see for example the VLC player: http://www.tipb.com/2011/01/08/vlc-officially-pulled-app-store/)?
- I saw the Android app from Tom Quist (http://quist.de/2011/02/remote-control-samsung-tv-with-android-phone/?lang=en). He also published his source code, including the graphical images for the buttons. Same questions apply here when I want to re-use these images.

I hope there is a possibility that I continue to develop this iPhone app.

Please have a look at my current iPhones apps:

He wasn`t here for a long time, i think, he wouldn`t mind if you use pictures :)

Hi juzis28,

Thanx for your enthousiasm.
The remote itself is basically finished, I'm now working on the additional features.

Can you maybe answer my other questions, with respect to the GNU license and whether I'm allowed to upload this app to the Apple App Store?
What or whom should I refer from within my app?
