Should work. but i saw more cheaper usb to serial adapters. 9.9 Pounds is to much for that
I got this from dealextreme and it works flawlessly.
But it`s up to you.

Are you sure that this should work? because i read the wiki and in it i've found that if i connect the tv to usb directly the tv or the pc should be damaged.
I'm not good with this things i wanna try to made an ex-link cable by myself but i don't know how i can do that.
you told me about the nokia ca-42 cable but it hasn't the connector for the tv. i ask for a guide but i have no reply so i'm searching a ready to use cable that should work.

i told you: it should work. You did understood wrong about direct connection- you can't use exlink from B series because of damage danger. But ca42 and other are ok.

I made a cable like described here http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php?title=Ex-Link_Cable_for_C-Series, using an USB to serial adapter BIG112 (which is said to be based on a PL2303 Chip). So TTL level should be granted. Conntected to TV, I get only nonsense on screen. I tried diffrent speeds but still get hieroglyphics. I checked adapter via cross cable connected to an other PC, terminal output was ok. So my question is: could it be that C-Series serial output is encrypted?

"Settings are: Speed 115200, 8N1, no flow control." Not encrypted.

 if I had taken a closer look to the WIKI page, I would have seen that I need a TTL level adaptation though PL2303 chip. I'll try it again

yepp, still need level adjusting after PL2303. My self-soldered cable is working now.
