insert blank usb stick
if usb is not xfs formated, tv will ask you to format it.
if device is fast and big enough, it will be posible to record on it.
start samygo app.
switch to some digital channel.
press red (round) button on RC.

tv should ask you , how many minutes u want to record.
you confirm.
tv start recording.

when you stop , on usb in directory /CONTENTS/ you have numbered files, your stored pvr file is xxxxxxxxxx.srf, rename it to .ts, .mpeg or some other DVB MPEG format.

play somwhere.

what if I want to record on my current USB disk ?
Should I format it ? (with what ?)
Currently it is XFS formatted with some recordings in it.

Btw, what does the watchdog service do ? I had disabled it as recommended; should I re-enable it ?
Also, I still didn't upgrade to latest version (1019); is there a release note for that ? (to check what has changed)

Every resync of this app deletes it first! So you don`t need to make any "clean" install.
Also here is yellow button in SmartHub (edit mode). Select wdget and go to Delete at the bottom...

Also if connected over ftp, delete /mtd_down/widget/user/SamyGO

thanks for the reply ... but it is not as easy as you say

1) i tried to delete the app (yellow button) and waited 30min befor i cancelled

2) i tried to reinstall/resync...Installation went smoothly but SamyGO is still without Icon and without any function

3) i tried TV default factory reset (10s Exit-Button) but SamyGO is still there

4) i have no FTP / Telnet access to delete the app

something went wrong and now I can not delete and do not reinstall.

How delete/reinstall the app ?

The SamyGo Application is configured as Ticker in the SmartHub, but I guess that ticker will not be started if the TV is in standby PVR mode?

that is what we also found out... i was before thinking if the TV is on...

so , at the moment , this is not posible by doing it by Ticker way, except there is around way to execute also ticker, but to find that will be a problem.

Hi all!

I've followed thread and instructions , the widget installs and can be launched.
First row ( console ) shows ok
second row ( pvr drm) hangs forever and I've to unplug tvset to recover.
Watchdog and rs-232 changed to off and debug.
I've also removed widget.. resync.. nothing more the splash screen and two rows as above.

Resolved.... I had to remove unused scart adapter and component adapter ..

today extension won't work anymore again stuck on pvr drm

I unplugged the USB stick and was able to reinstall.
It works now
