@Spoza no as well as other things to convert text, thats why ugly workarounds (textfile is not, this is testing purpose) atm echo does UTF-16 to UTF-8 more or less but encoding will be fixed soon, working on it.
@60plus i guess you are german? "mfg" which browser you use? where it opens the download windows (which cgi script or page) what you are trying to do?

ich schreibe mal auf deutsch(englisch kann ich nicht wirklich),
Browser benutze ich Opera und firefox, bei beiden ?ffnet sich das Downloadfenster wenn ich das Webinterface mit "192.168.178.25/cgi-bin/Modules.cgi" aufrufe, genau so bei Aufruf mit /test.cgi

First forum language is english, so try to keep it
Problem is Browser opens a Download window instead of Page, happens for test.cgi and installer,
seems something on your computer could be the issue (misconfiguration) or there is no cgi execution on your TV, what TV is it Model and FW
PN for countinuing in german (i would prefere to continue here)

TV is a UE37D6530 with FW 1012, SamyGo, NFS share .

do you have any other device to test the webif? other operating system? what operating system you use? what happen when you only enter the ip? do you see the PHP infopage then?

1.i have WinXP and with linux it is the same
2. enter with ip open a Download Window and not see the PHP infopage then

could you post /dtv/apache_error_log from tv when did you installed SamyGo?

what needs to be enabled in SamyGO?

you need apache and execution of cgi scripts, with actual widget it should work by default if you did not change anything
