Brake through.

1, My Samba extraction work fine
2, There have to be option secutity=share in config file of Samba.
3, To open server for example: \\192.168.1.6\Samsung TV

I dont know why \\192.168.1.6\ is not working from Windows, only from Android

Solved!
Thx for help

For documentation only:

My model is
LE40B650T2W
Firmware
T-CHL7DEUC - 2005.0
with Autoloader for extra exeDSP plugins and EXT3 support

Transfer rate on EXT3 USB disk connected to TV:

Over Samba:
Read: 5 000 Kb/s
Write: 1 660 Kb/s

Over Bftpd (with XFER_BUFSIZE="64000")
Read: 5 000 Kb/s
Write: 500 Kb/s

As promised, I have attached my samba server solution another time:

To install:

1.) Extract the archive to an USB stick or any writable location on the TV memory

2.) Edit the file smb.conf to set the IP-address of your TV, an hostname and a workgroup name. Edit the shared directories as required.

3.) Start the server using the start_samba.sh script

This distribution includes the nmbd daemon, so the TV should be listed in the network neighborhood of your computer.

samysamba.tgz: Image

Can any admin please put this file somewhere here? The forum software does not permit me to attach this file and the hosting servers will drop it after a limited time and a limited number of downloads. Thanks.

Thank you, goaskin, I highly appreciated that :-)

EDIT:

I have had some time today and I have tried your samba server...

Well, It's not working for me. I run start_samba.sh from a telnet session and the following error shows up:

Code: Select all

/dtv/usb/sda1/SAMYSAMBA/samba/sbin/smbd: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypt.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/dtv/usb/sda1/SAMYSAMBA/samba/sbin/nmbd: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypt.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
What am I doing wrong??

Thanks in advance!

I meet the same problem on my tablet

I have some version of Samba Share installed in my B series. And it works without problems for Windows 7, tested from two different machines.
But on third one, where I have Windows 10, TV just doesn't see that share.
Sharing is done the same way on all machines, appropriate user for access exists.
Any hints?
