Where do I find the DUID?
smarthub -> blue -> properties -> more -> unique ID
Can't you use a newer FW like the 1015 for the downgrade-one?
i have no one, and i just accept original samsung download urls.
Why shouldn't it be possible to switch firmware after downgrade?
firmware with version 1091 dosn't exist, on restricted firmwares the system corrects the version to the real one after downgrade. on unrestricted the faked version is accepted as real one
And what do you mean by changing firmwares via

Code: Select all

/mtd_rwarea/Version.x
? Is there another way to downgrade? Because no one ever had find a way to downgrade D-Series TV's before your online DNS way.
if you have rooted your device (with rooting widget) you can try to change the content of the vile on your tv, may it works may not...
And YES, I will try this update!

I'm watching soccer EM right now, will tell you my unique ID later, or tomorrow.

Which are restricted firmwares and which don't?
The version of the downgradeone has to be higher than the installed one I guess. But on Online-update there is the "alternate software" option. So if I install the fake 1091 and it stays at that number, maybe I can go back with the "alternate software" option. What do you think?

My 1015 was downloaded from Samsung URL, but samsung had no hash files, so I can't proof it.

Maybe I will try the rooting widget first, I'm not sure.

for d-series generally if it's released after 11.11.2011 ;-)

yes

maybe, but not really checked when this option is active and when not, maybe a firmware restriction also.

you don't have the url anymore?
Maybe I will try the rooting widget first, I'm not sure.
it's up to you :-)

The url doesn't exist anymore because the old fw are no longer on the samsung web servers.

Mstar Plasma's fw is always older than that date, so your 1009.1 also and therefore it's unrestricted if I understand you right and after downgrading I will not be able to update again. How did you manage this for ARM based TV's?

I mean, when all firmwares before 11.11.2011 are unrestricted they don't change the fake version number. And the fake one for ARM based models on your DNS Server should also be an unrestricted one, because it's released before 11.11.2011 and therefore everyone who downgrades should also not be able to update again, but they can. Something I must have misunderstood.
So is this 1009.1 a unrestricted one or not? Or is this the thing we have to find out?

the firmware what you had before the downgrade on the tv writes the version file, not the firmware what you install.

looks like for T-MSTDEUC samsung not really did restrictions against samygo

Online upgrade AFAIK is the safest way after USB upgrade way. But sure the firmware flashing has some common risks to brick and this is independent from us.
In case of T-MST5DEUC-1009 the risk exists because we don`t know if it behaves well on TV or not. It is up to you to take that risks and drink Prosecco or just skip this topic and live happily with your current firmware, but without any risk. The third way is to drink Prosecco because of bricked TV...
