then you device had the samsung ip cached somewhere...
Before DNS change the 1028 firmware was never offered, so I assumed it was a SamyGO fixed version and installed it. Now I see it is real 1028 version with same problems as before. Any plans to support downgrading from this version now? I can "guinea pig" if needed.
pm me you devices DUID

My firmware; SWU_B-BRCM65BSP_001023_I05_ES000KS000RS000DS000BS000_120204

This isn't specifically listed on the original post, though a similar one is. Has anyone had any luck downgrading this version?
Success, I am now Cinavia free it appears. Was able to play Resident Evil: Afterlife all the way through without that damned box popping up or the audio muting. Only problem I can see if this version doesn't seem to be Netflix friendly, as it doesn't register an internet connection. Everything else, including Pandora works fine.

EDIT BY ARRIS: downgrade from SWU_B-BRCM65BSP_001023_I05_ES000DS000KS000BS000RS000_120203 not from 120204

looks like your device use some old cached information, try to reset it (press exit button for ~15sec. or search in men? for factory reset. from normal menu not from service menu!!!) and make "cold boot" (remove the device from the power supply for 3 minutes).
after you change dns don't start smarthub, just let device check for firmware.

Hi.
well... today i tried again to do it with the DNS... it downloaded ok until 100% then the device restarted.
The samsung logo appeared... then "black screen"... i waited +/- 15 minutes and nothing... restarted it, samsung logo again, and black screen.
Nothing is working... "BD/DVD" appears on the device's display, but nothing on the remote works, unless ON/OFF, the volume and mute (seen on the display)...

What do i do?.. please help..

I noticed the same thing, Netflix no longer works. But I would rather have a functional player. My solution was to add a second Sony Blu-Ray for Netflix. The Sony actually plays all discs fine, because I never upgraded the firmware, but the Samsung BD-D6500 has superior picture quality even on recorded DVDs. Lesson learned! Don't ever try a new firmware until you know exactly what it will do to your device...
