I just successfully upgraded firmware from my BD-D8900 Samygo working, no issues till now....
I also upgraded my BD-D6900S but have still some issues with the front buttons, the power button needs to be pushed for 5secs to switch it off, if pressed once, there is no function...

Thank you so much arris69

I also noticed that power off takes much longer. I suspect that it has to do with unmounting shares and timeouts related to it. If you disable all shares (samba, nfs, upnp) and virtual USB support, power off is fast as before.

Can you tell me which extension pack i have to use for BD-D6900 with patched firmware installed?
And which script (run.sh) to get it running?

Hi everyone, I've been reading the forums for sometime and thought I would now register and participate.

Anyway I downgraded my HT-D5530 quite early on and everything was fine up until weekend, my girlfriend decided to watch a DVD which wouldnt play due to region lock to US. Apparently she played around through settings and somehow ran a downloaded update which now has stopped my rear speakers working altogether not even Tone Tests are working, any ideas?

I have since tried re-downgrading and like Bluebirds, I too and getting the 603 error, no firmware to update... please help!

Thanks.

I wouldn't hold your breath for help. I have asked several times for help and even PM'd the OP and still nothing. Not sure if this thread is still alive and monitored by the OP.

Fingers crossed the OP still reads and server works etc, all I wish to do is reflash even if it puts the Cinavia crap back on. I can't be doing with no rear speakers... already started pricing AV Receivers up :-(

I'm glad I found this place, maybe there's help for my player after all :?:

I just got a BD5700 player and it has the Cinavia curse, so I'd like to do something about it. Unfortunately, my TV isn't online so I'll have to downgrade from a flash drive or record the firmware onto a dvd and downgrade from there. However, after trying to read all 24 pages of this thread, I've found a couple of links to downloadable firmware (B-FIRHTBEUC_1010.1_1014.0 and 1010.2-1952011) but no indication if they're right for my drive. I also saw the wiki firmware page, but have no idea what those files are (ARM??? MStar???) or if any of them are right for my BD5700.

My TV isn't anywhere near my cable modem or I'd try it that way, but since I can't, can anyone please tell me if it's even possible to downgrade from a usb flash drive, and, if so, give me a link to the appropriate firmware?

Thanks in advance for any help!
