Hello,
i have the Samsung BD-D6900 in use for BluRay/DVD and DVB-C in germany.
So i have some "problems" with the player. It won't play my mp3s via ushare and it won't play any of my HD videos and i can't play the recorded TV Series on my pc.
So i found this site and i'm wondering if it's possible to use samyGo on this player and to fix the problems above.
I also want to know if it's possible to get back to the original firmware and what's needed to flash samygo.
Or maybe, if it's possible to simply "patch" the existing firmware.
Is it possible to play "new" BluRays with samyGo? Because i've read that there are often patches which are needed to play new blurays.
Thanks for your help!
Best regards,
Selfarian

Re: Samsung BD-D6900
Hi I am using same BD player as you and I installed SamyGo on it using this guide: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4244
You can always revert original firmware by going for the choice "restore factory defaults" in the BD menu.
Can't say more about "new" blu-rays, I haven't had any problem so far...
The only thing I had problem with was new CI+ card for pay-TV, which after I installed SamyGO refused to authenticate to my cable-TV provider, but luckily I have 2 other old CI cards, so I just switched them and the CI+ one I am using in my TV....

Hi,
Ok, that easier as i thought
Thank you.
But one more question: samygo can't read the already recorded films from my hard drive, right?

Re: Samsung BD-D6900
well unfortunately I am not sure about that - I didn't record anything before installing SamyGO .... so can't help you with that one.
But if you have linux, you can always copy the recordings there and decrypt them...
