Hardware specs and other interesting Information

Post by supermasi »

Hi guys,

my name is Marcel, i'm from Germany and 20 years old.
A year ago I purchased an UE40D6510 and since then started reading about SamyGO and TVs in general.

Sadly I do not get along anymore with my TV, the Picture is laggy, even after several visits in the Serviceworkshop. Also the lie about real FHD annoys me more and more. So i decided to buy a new TV of the E Series.
As usual I did some research about the technical spacs and I found this really interesting bulgarian forum with many many information.

http://forum.setcombg.com/index.php/top ... #msg491512

Unfortunately neither I do speak Bulgarin nor Russian, so could not translate it by mayself.
But Google tried to translate it, in which the emphasis is on tried.. sorry for that.

http://translate.google.de/translate?hl ... 91512.html

It lists a lot of information as well as test, tables and pro con comparisons.

But the most important is the spec of the CPU, it is listed below:
  • ES8000 - Samsung Echo-P CPU-Dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 1Ghz GPU-Mali-400 MP4
  • ES7000 - Samsung Echo-P CPU-Dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 1Ghz GPU-Mali-400 MP4
http://www.fullhd.gr/images/stories/201 ... 00/pro.JPG
  • ES6800 - MStar X10 900Mhz
  • ES6710 - MStar X10 900Mhz
  • ES6500 - MStar X10 900Mhz
  • ES6100 - MStar X10 900Mhz
  • ES5700 - MStar X10 900Mhz
  • ES5500 - MStar X10 900Mhz
  • ES5300 - MStar X10 900Mhz
  • EH5400 - MStar X10 900Mhz
  • EH5300 - MStar X10 900Mhz
Maybe Samsung is lying again to us, beacause as you can see by the name of the firmwareupgrade Samsung provides the same MStar firmware from EH5300 > ES6990

T-MST10PDEUC-1023.2 - EH5300 T-MST10PDEUC-1023.2 - ES6710 T-MST10PDEUC-1023.2 - ES6890 (similar to european 6800) And for comparison the firmwaredownloads for ARM models.

T-ECPDEUC-1013.0 - ES7090
http://www.samsung.com/de/support/model ... -downloads
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model ... -downloads

Just for the records:
  • (T-VAL * DEUC_ ****. *. Exe) Processor Valencia
  • (T-CHL * DEUC_ ****. *. Exe) Processor Chelsi
  • (T-ARS * DEUC_ ****. *. Exe) Processor Arsenal
  • (T-TDT * DEUC_ ****. *. Exe) Trident Processor
  • (T-MSX * DEUC_ ****. *. Exe) Processor MStar
  • (T-MST * DEUC_ ****. *. Exe) Processor MStar
  • (T-MSU * DEUC_ ****. *. Exe) Processor MStar
  • (T-GAS * DEUC_ ****. *. Exe) Processor Genoa
  • (T-GAR * DEUC_ ****. *. Exe) Processor Genoa-P
  • (T-ECP * DEUC_ ****. *. Exe) Processor Echo-P
I also found a service manual in which the procedure of maintenance is shown for ES61xx to ES68xx.
http://elektrotanya.com/samsung_uexxes6 ... nload.html
Just by the way, this site offers a whole bunch of documents for all kinds of electronic devices.

As mentioned in the service manual the european versions of ES65xx , ES67xx and ES68xx share the same panels and power suppyls, only the important code of the mainboard is not printed. But as I think Samsung will not put some extra effort into the development of the ES6800 "dual-core"?? mainboard, they most likely will limit the ES67xxs and maybe even the ES65xx capabilites with some software tricks.

So with the hope of beeing able to unlock MStar X10 Dualcore ability in lower ES68xx series, I will play around in the service menu of some shopdevices in the big electronic stores :P 8-)

As soon as I've got some results about speedincrease or so I will let you know. If we are lucky you can enable dualcore feature with just changing the model mane in the service menu.

Hope these information could help you guys.
In this sence happy hacking and good luck for the future of SamyGO and its developers :)

cheers
Marcel

Differences with 7-8 series unconditionally significant enough and is explained by the operation of a video. Different operating frequencies can be unlocked one of the nuclei, reduced internal cache. Type chassis ultimately not very decisive, is an important principle of full functionality processor. Depending on the options (power) to be selected video pro?esing software version.

Incidentally, it should be noted that information on the capabilities of the program Hardware-program Re-configuration of a video Mstar is not a secret known to all stakeholders as a pdf document on the official site of Mstar. ?oreover instruction frequency and modes. Option for conducting hardware-programming of the Re-configuration - this is the opportunity to saturate the market with cheap and full bodied processors. So they did and act Intel (Pentium - Seleron for example), so enter AMD, Texas, AD, M-STAR, and many others.
For all their desire, no company in the world can not lead the emergence of fit (full functional) processors up to 100%.
Hardware-program Re-configuration - is the only way.

Maybe I am blind, but I don't find anything new there (no ES7000 or Es8000 service manual).
The manual of ther series 6 has already been posted in the starting message.

Hello there, I just found this website and I would like to know if maybe you could help me with some questions I have about my Samsung Smart TV, EH 5300, since you've been discussing something about it somewhere up there. The thing is that I bought the TV in Mexico, and I have noticed that the same model in other parts of the world has more functions, like the built- in flash player or the capability to record via external drive or even USB. Even the Samsung Apps are different from one country to another, I am spanish and I would love to get some of the apps they offer in Spain, but it doesn't seem possible :(
My question is, could you actually confirm this? And what would happen if I try to install a firmware from another country, i.e UK? I see that your version is higher than the one that they offer in the mexican website (T-MST10PAUSC_001023).
I want to get the best from my TV but I feel there are many "hidden" options , I would really appreciate it if you could give me some advice about it, thanks so much in advance! :)
