It's not working for me.

Solved!!

After a eeprom reset and a firmware update all is working great . However, I have found that $SYSROOT is not defined on my system .

I can manually create it after telnet starts. However, there is still a lot of scripts calling for $SYSROOT before telnet startes. I was planing to add "export SYSROOT=/mnt" to "/etc/profile". Is this a wise idea or should it be placed in another script?


Edit: it might be safer to put it in "/dtv/.ashrc" but don't know if this is called before other SamyGO scripts.

Hi i was going to ask if u could mod this to disable the call for channel info entirely. My E series has a external guide which is good but channel info is always coming up and annoying and also causes black screens on cold boots. I been doing some testing and even if u do accept to mod this I don't think it would work how i need it to because initially samygo and sadly your script isn't booted fast enough to fix my problem because we have to wait for smarthub to boot

you could try libSTFU w/ a timeout value of 1 ms or smth.
i had some probs too w/ black screen when using ticker widget for rooting. had to press EXIT on remote first. to get around that prob i've added "widgetAPI.sendExitEvent();" to my widget

Hi i did try 1ms and it still shows channelinfo if enabled if your eye is quick but does not stop external epg from showing its own info. I'm unsure what you mean by "smth"? and unfortunately if i try to convert SamyGo to ticker widget the hack does not work for me. I have since disabled external epg since it causes less headaches than waiting for epg data to load.
Its a real shame that really sometime so important and basic is not implemented well by samsung...
