OK! Then the problem i have its cause i use a 1tb drive so i must unplug the usb drive whit the Samygo files. I will try to make a partition with fat.
There is no way to make the patch work in NTFS?
zoelechat wrote:Yes, just create a small FAT partition with rooting files. No other way.
Actually AFTER rooting he can move SamyGO_data directory to NTFS and it should still work FAT is needed for rooting itself
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":) If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!
Hi! Big thanks to all who have worked on this solution - what an amazing resource! I have a BD E8500 and confirm the patch has removed Cinavia warnings/restrictions from playing backed-up content via Plex.
The most difficult part of the process for me was the crash course in using telnet and ftp from OSX terminal - I am not usually a command-line guy, but this was pretty straight forward once I'd figured how.
Also I am very green to rooting, so it wasn't immediately clear that the patch is supposed to run on the BD via telnet... but there is a lot to read on this forum to help.
A couple of other tips:
- E8500 has two USB ports. Using the rear port, SamyGo app appeared instantly in SmartHub from a hard restart (unplugged). Using the front didn't work
- I could still Telnet to the BD once the web browser app had been closed, but could only FTP when the browser was open and on screen. That wasted a few minutes!
- I had to stipulate specific port for telnet (5023) Not sure if this is normal, but required from terminal
Thanks again!
PS If only there was a patch to stop the DTV tuner breaking!
Works great on my HT-F5500W. Rooted then Cinavia patch and autostart.
Works with all players even Plex.
Just a small info for people connecting with Putty or other for telnet. Port 5023 didn't work for me. Port 23 did the trick and gave me the ability to run the commands and see the output.
With 5023 I only had the following message and commands didn't work (but no output to know it)
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off.
Hello. I rooted a bd-e6100 OK but I can't connect via FTP to apply patch. I'm using Filezilla. I tried ports 23 and 1023 but nothing. I have something wrong, sure! Sorry for my english. Anybody can help me please?
