BD-D6500 stuck in constant reboot mode?
Let me preface this by saying I did *not* try to root, upgrade firmware or make any modification to the player. Still, recently my player began acting up by continually turning on and off again, back and forth. I tried to reset it to factory settings but it didn't change anything. From google, I saw someone say on another forum that the problem is the front touch panel, and advising somebody to open it up and remove a separate thin ribbon connector that connects the front touch panel. Has anyone tried this with success or perhaps have other suggestions on how I may go about fixing the player? It's obviously out of warranty by now

Just in case someone else finds this useful, this actually *did* work as posted on some other forum online:
"The problem is because of front touch panel. so open your blue ray player and there is a separate thin ribbon connector which connect the front touch panel, just remove that and boot up again. it should work." It worked for me, it's a tiny connector but disconnecting it fixed the reboot issue, I can't use the front panel but the remote works still so no big deal.
