Service Manual or part list for UN F5500

Hello!

I just bricked my tv. Yes, I know.

I entered the service menu and accidentally (it's always accidentally, isn't it?) clicked MICOM Upgrade. So, as far as I was able to research about here and all over the web, the main board is now useless, unless I'm able to do that VGA cable and reflash the eeprom. Well, I'm not taking that path for now.

So I need to get another main board. My TV model is UN 40 F5500 AGXZD and I would like to buy the main board, but I don't know where to find the board code. Is there any service manual or part list for this specific TV model? Or would any UNxxF5500xxxxx work with it?

Otherwise mainboard model is simply written on sticker you'll find on mainboard itself (BN94-xxxx).

Hi, zoelechat! Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've been reading through the topic you mentioned, even before posting here. I felt really tempted to build up that cable and trying, but the problem is about the time it would take for someone that *may* have some skills.

I need to get the TV fixed soon. Once I did it, I can try to recover the board. TV is not mine, so I have to put it back working ASAP.

I saw a lot of boards for sale online here in Brazil and found out the part number for almost all of them is BN91-10540V. Same part number for a range of different models (UN32F5500, UN40F5500... That is, UNxxF5500), but all models end with "AXZD".

Just for the record, my model would be decoded like this (according to http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/skp/faq/1052003):

U = LED
N = North America
40 = 40 inches
F = 2013
5500 = series
A = says something I don't know about "feature design"
GXZ = says something about "manufacturing information"
D = could be an additional meaning to the above information

I believe there are some differences between part numbers according to the model suffixes, as BN91-10540V seems to apply only for local (Brazilian) TVs... Language? Signals decoding? Firmware versions? I really don't know.

To be sure, I think I'll open the TV and see the current board sticker.

No error possible about "Language? Signals decoding?..." if you look for the exact same BN94 reference, each one being region/tuner type specific.

Yeah, possible it's BN91 for your region. Just check inside anyway, it's very easy to open
