Hello,

I understand the downgrade description quite well except point #4:

4. To have fully restored TV, files from similar as YOUR TV model: u-boot.bin, fnw.bin, Image needed to be placed in the same directory as exe.img.enc, appdata.img.enc and other firmware files (inside /image/ directory)

I don't know where I can find files "u-boot.bin, fnw.bin, Image" for my TV (UE40B7000) and why are these files needed? Can anyone help me with this?

These files are needed for you to have service cable, so called ExLink working in case if you brake TV. You can find these files here (just B7000/8000).

Flashing firmware is always risky to brick device. You can't be 100 percent sure, that everything goes fine even if you follow official Samsung firmware upgrade instructions. In our case the risk to brick device is minimized because to exclude human factor all job is done by script. Your responsibility is to decide what method you use and what firmware you put on usb upgrade disk.
So, i think using Force Firmware Back is almost the safest way to get earlier firmware on by FFBv0.3 supported TV models if you do not have alternative firmware to switch to, for example, if TV has been bought with only one, the latest firmware on it.

I agree with Juzis ... this method is very safe if you are following the instruction.
Have a good downgrade :-)

What I have :
- Samsung LED UE55B7000
- Firwmare : T-CHU7DEUC 3001.1 (my TV says the date is 25/01/2010). I understand that all the news firmware since this one by Samsung are SHIT cause they dont offer new fonctionnalities but just forbid you to downgrade to another older...

What I want :
- DTS when I read MKV with USB

I understand that :
- I need a SamyGo firmware. Is there another solution ? Is it possible to just add a DTS library to the TV ?
- My firmware is not compatible with SamyGo
- I must downgrade my firmware

But, I dont understand if :
- how to downgrade ? is it possible ? How ? (via Telnet ? Not possible via USB without telnet ?)
-c what I must do with, if I need Telnet or not,...
- What will your package do ? A downgrade with an old firmware which is saved on the TV or with an other ?
- What are the risks ? If I made a mistake, is it possible to "hard reset" the TV so the TV could "find" an usine firmware ?
- Will the warrranty be canceled ?

thanx

I can expane what you didn`t understand:
1. How to downgrade? ...you can do it without telnet with help of FFBv0.2, your TV is supported.
2. what I must do with?...You do not need telnet, just read carefully instructions HowTo step by step. If you do not understand, please ask what step you do not understand.
3. What will your package do?... My package installs firmware from USB avoiding Samsung firmware restrictions on latest firmware.
4. What are the risks ?.... Here is the answer.
5. Will the warrranty be canceled ?... As far as i know, here are a ot of people with bricked TV changed on Service without problems.

If I understand all :
I can downgrade to a compatible SamyGo one.
I will downgrade it automatically, without telnet, by using this process : http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5?title= ... ry_Manager or the force_fw_back_v0.2.rar page 17 of this topic ?

And after ?
what I must do to have DTS on my TV ? I think I need some help on step 4 : Download "pre-february" firmware for your TV (original or patched). There is a patched firmware for DTS ?

Thanx

Thanx for all your help cause I'm novice and don't understand english very good
I have some questions in blue. Thanx in advance.

In my conditions (with 3001.1 and I want DTS), I must follow the steps explained page 17, without telnet :
1. Download game: force_fw_back_v0.2.rar and extract archive to empty Fat32 formatted USB disk and plug in to TV. [OK I understand]
2. Enter [Content Library Manager] -> Select [USB] -> [Children] [OK I understand. with my model, I think I'm allowed to enter the content library Manager]
3. Use Copy function (yellow RC button) on TV to copy Telnet Enabler as Trojan content to TV internal flash. [OK I understand]
(After pressing yellow button, choose "copy all to TV"). Detach USB from TV.
4. Download "pre-february" firmware for your TV (original or patched) [hum... pb ! what firmware shall I download ? Is there anyone like the last firmware Samsung but which can allow me to play DTS ? where I can found it ? Is there a list of its fonctionnality ? ]
5. Extract firmware to USB (you can use the same usb). Firmware files aren`t being prepared specially, just make USB upgrade disk following TV user manual. [OK I understand]
6. After firmware upgrade USB disk is done, on the root directory you have to see T-CHL7DEUC (for LExxB65x, LExxB75x ) or T-CHU7DEUC (for UExxB7xxx, UExxB8xxx) [OK I understand. It is the same process I done with the samsung firmwares]
7. To have fully restored TV, files from similar as YOUR TV model: u-boot.bin, fnw.bin, Image needed to be placed in the same directory as exe.img.enc, appdata.img.enc and other firmware files (inside /image/ directory)
* u-boot.bin, fnw.bin, Image for LExxB65x, LExxB75x
* u-boot.bin, fnw.bin, Image for UExxB7xxx, UExxB8xxx
[I dont understand this step, please help ?]
8. Attach USB to TV again. [OK I understand]
9. Go to [Content Library Manager] -> [My Contents] -> [Children]. * You can run it from: [Menu] -> [Source list] -> [USB] -> [Content Library] -> [My Contents] -> [Children] as well. [OK I understand]
10. Attach to TV firmware upgrade USB (or just add firmware directory to USB you used for copying game to TV. You have to add firmware after you copy this game to TV!) [Sorry, I dont understand. why you speak about "Game" ? What do you mean in Attach to TV firmware upgrade USB ? I have the firmware on my key USB. I'm in the folder "Children" in the TV. And so what ? ]
11. Run Force_fw_back [I run this program from the content library, folder Children ?]
12. TV screen becomes dark for second and returns to [Children] [OK I understand]
13. After approx one minute TV will reboot to alternative firmware. [OK I understand. I'll have in my TV the firmware I want, which DTS]
14. You will find some log files on USB. Delete if don`t needed. [OK I understand]
