No idea, I haven't seen J root in action, I've got K only.
What I'm sure is that if you try to connect Telnet on 21 or FTP on 23, it's expected you get nothing
Also I'm almost sure you didn't respect that:
Plug USB to TV, power ON then wait... wait... 1st start before root can be VERY long (up to 15min)
Hence: read carefully...

i have now wait for 1 hour and 10 min. it seems not to be done. it´s that normal? i have usb 32 gb 3.0 (fat32) on usb 3.0 port( connect box ). when i look on putty i get this: Linux 3.10.30 (localhost) (pts/0)
