You need to enter Extended service menu and look for Local_set and change it to another country where is PVR enabled by default.

To change Local Set you need service remote or app ?
Also need PVR on Q80B, Local Set is EU.

After reading instructions on this forum, I successfully activated PVR on Samsung 50Q80B by changing Local set from EU to EU_UK. I used Service Remote Control Samsung-TV (SRC) with Samsung Galaxy 6, to enter advanced service menu. Initially I used EU_GER, but it also change menu language to german, and with EU_UK the menu remain in english.

you can set any menu language you want after you change "local set", you don't have to stick to eu_uk to have English
