You can`t see it in mediaplayer, because you missed my info about creating empty directory on USB called:

ftp ://ip:21
login: root
no password

To mount some dir directly, you could edit this row:

Since you don't identify your Firmware version number, I leave it empty on Wiki page!
How about mounting NFS? UPNP? Please test them too.

web gui is ported from LG, but in plans it is growing up to have full management of TV over web. Here is simple shell like cmd line - you can execute bash commands from webui directly - comands are being written to file and executed....
I understand your wish about direct mounting of shares, solution is coming.
I didn`t put this version of hack file to wiki, because we are waiting for improved next version.

BTW, ftp works as rw on fat32 drive, if you use NTFS, you have ro. You can move files directly to /mtd_rwarea and other rw partitions free over ftp. But here you need be careful.

I update the table but it's weird that NFS not working. Until now, every Samsung TV which has NFS support.
