No, firmware re-flash does nothing. I guess you can`t flash firmware - tv does not accept it, because of the same 3007.1 version.
If you need re-hack, you have to format /mtd_rwarea first.

Yes, you need exlink cable for C series tv.
Factory reset... it is better to avoid it. But if it already done, what can i say
