Hi All,
@najamkhan: Since your HW model number has letter of P, LA37B530P7RXZN I think It has use encrypted firmware. There is no much space for play. But I am not sure about it...
non CI+ devices are doesn't include P letters after model name. CI+ hardwares has extra security for protecting device from hackers (or us :D ).

JPEG & MP3 play does not require chips that responsible for decoding DivX, VC-1 and h264. So I don't think that you can play whose videos. At least no one can make it. But we don't know actually without trying. We can offer exeDSP patch for enable Wiselink hack for B530's firmware. But this require that have exeDSP image in place...

What I mean with service port is that standard 3,5mm audio jack hole at back of your TV. It responsible for debugging hardware...
It is actually a serial device I/O port that you can rule TV software with inputs from your terminal.
The ExLink cable structure and use of the cable is detailed under WiKi page of this link.

Currently we have no support for your [hard/firm]ware, you have to enter your device with ExLink cable and make progress in the light of WiKi pages.
Thanks

If you can use TCHL5DEUC 2003 firmware on your TV, than problems are gone already... But I think you cant.

exeDSP is a program that in the your firmware we trying to hacking. Usually can extracted from Firmware images that Samsung release about internet .
But your TV firmware update has no exe.img partition in it. So we needed to have that image (which includes exeDSP by hand.)

So needed to extract your real firmware from TV.

ideally you needed to dumb your TV's firmware to USB stick.
First you needed to construct ExLink cable for your self shown on this pages
Since you are studying on CS, It is easy to solder one for your self.
I needed to apply to start my My Master on Computer Engineering this month :)

After you can dump your TV flash by hand by reading this Wiki page.

Okey 3,5mm jack will do the job I think.
Order or build the ExLink cable and plug th 3,5mm service port.
I think you can get in the linux shell.

You can plug the USB stick to your TV's USB Service Port for dumping flash.
The folders you needed to backup are in /dev/ folder.
You can read Dumping Flash by Hand article on wiki.
I prefer backup my entire tbml devices...
Good luck

Nope, you need only dump the files. Not rewrite them to device back for now.
You think same thing but you are unsure about your decision.
Don't follow the Wiki step by step.
Instead understand that. Like using "df" command to understand and know what is your EXE device....
if there is no /dev/bml0/8 then there cold be /dev/tbml8...
If you try to make steps one by one without understanding, you have +1 brick on your wall ( if you are using wall mount for TV...)
And you needed to stop copying wiki here too. I think we are smart to think thru links. ;)

df is a command, shows the mounts.it not harm your TV or computer, just try it.
# indicates the root is executing the command. It's well known thing in linux.
You will see lines after the 'df' command.

Code: Select all

...
/dev/tbml10 61400 52440 8960 85% /mtd_exe
...
So this is my TV, shows that /dev/tbml10 is my exe Device.
Your TV, the th?ng could be different, you have to find your exe device address yourself.

This things are easy for even linux newbies. Since you are don't understand linux,
Personally, I don't advice you to hack your TV, It's look like you are going to brick it.
You also needed to read this post carefully.
Because we accept thanks only but responsibility about any damages at your device...
