has any lucky one had use of this streaming app ? on any Samsung tablet ?
Just got my new toys... Smartview App works great on Galaxy S Wifi 5.0 (Android music player YP-G70C) with UE46D8000 TV.
Multiple connections to remote devices is possible, but all devices share the same stream ie all must watch the same DVB channel or video input.

Why don't you log the traffic and see what requests are made and how is the stream 'streamed' ?

I would like to push the topic because there is a new version of "Smart View" available: 3.0.0
Still not compatible with other Android devices...
Could somebody with a compatible device please upload it?
Btw. there is a "DualTV"-folder on my set with some compiled files (.ko,.bin), maybe we could try to decompile these?

I managed to get the smartview 3.0.0 apk and the very surprising fact is that dualview works on my sgs.
so I logged some traffic just for fun:
the streaming goes from tcp port 9090 of the tv and is requested by:
Code: Select all
GET /liveStream/1 HTTP/1.1
User-Agent: stagefright/1.0 (Linux;Android 2.3.3)
Host: *IP_OF_TV*
answer starts with:
Code: Select all
HTTP/1.0 200 OK
Content-type: application/octet-stream
Cache-Control: no-cache
followed by some data enclosed in two "HDCP"-statements, after that a continuous stream of data.

Guys, the smart view app is written for the Galaxy S2 and Tab10.1.
It is supported on gingerbread only currently. The devices come with the necessary library modules built in for it to work. I managed to get it running on my GS2 streaming HDMI1 (PS3) from TV but with a few seconds lag and no sound.
Even over my gigabit lan to the phone running on wifiN it lagged like crazy so I wouldn't hold any hopes for this feature.
