Yes, on the root of USB. If here is no 20, try 04 and deeper look for shell in menu. You have not much time, but it is possible to copy all codes together (each code in new row) and paste to putty with right mouse button.

You could leave USB attached during procedure trough exlink. No, you don`t need ext3, just take care you don`t use Notepad or other windows based editor for script. You don`t need to set permissions to script file. Anything. Just right format.
Try connect USB after USB driver is loaded or try leave it connected the whole time from beginning.
Try rename to run.sh as well...
