Re: PS58C 7000 Reset firmware to 0000 no Hack
I can't tell if you don't buy me one from C series... Try and see.

Re: PS58C 7000 Reset firmware to 0000 no Hack
I also tried it on my 55c8790 and reverted my firmware to 1016 and it worked. I had 2 problems after the downgrade.
TV did not detect the CI modul. After resetting the TV by pressing the Exit button for 10 seconds, it started to work normally again. Later, I realised that the internet@tv does not work. even the menu is grayed out. I checked the service menu and noticed that the infolink country changed from UK to none. I changed it to UK again, resetted the TV and modem again and it also started to work
Now, I have firmware 1016 and I will try all some other populer firmware versions, like 2004 and 3003.
I want to thank to all who made this process so simple

Just a few questions before my attempt to downgrade:crosstalk in 3d reduces significantly but the 2d quality unfortunately degrades. but I will try different firmware versions to find a balance between 2d and 3d and optimum one is probably 2004
- - it is my understanding that the T-VALDEUC are international software, the same in Australia as well as in Europe, is that correct ?
that must be the case cos I usually download the firmware from whichever site it is uploaded (UK,DE etc)
- after installing the 0000 firmware, is it at that point that you unplug the TV for a minute before installing let's say 1016 ?
yes
- @ juuso, about the on screen "Not for sale" message, does it only show up only whilst in 0000 or does it show up after any consecutive "normal" upgrade as well ???
it disapperars after the upgrade ofcourse
- After downgrading from 3009.2 to 10xx, will there be a noticeable degradation in 2D ? Because some say that the Samsung upgrades did improve 2D (must be subtle, haven't noticed anything obvious myself, certainly not as flagrant as the 3D deterioration !)
Thanks for your posts and especially for uploading the 0000 !

Re: PS58C 7000 Reset firmware to 0000 no Hack
I have another question.
Does this firmware actually remove the hack or not?
What i mean is that maybe (MAYBE it formates the rw area too so that the TV is virgin from hack again or not?
Asking as it could be an easy and a good way for un-hacking TVs if anyone by any reason needs it instead of using ex-link cable.

Re: PS58C 7000 Reset firmware to 0000 no Hack
hi,
after I used this 0000.0 firmware, I checked the settings in the service menu and very suprised when I saw the "TV purchase date" was also resetted to the "firmware 0000.0 aplication day".
Normally, "tv purchase date" is not an editable field in the service menu. This is not a direct answer to your question but it may give an idea about what kind of resetting it performs in tv's original file structure
