I tried this method: http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Activa ... R_on_D5500

OBS: To enter the service menu: power off the TV then press MUTE, 1, 8, 2 POWER. the TV will power on and show the service menu.

I tested this method but the PVR option still is disabled. But, if you enter the "option" menu you can alter de TV model.

I altered my TV model from D6000 to D6500 then power off the TV. When I powered on the TV and entered the SmartHub two apps have appeared : TV Recorder and Browser.
I tested the browser bus it shows me a message "updating..." and not worked.
The PVR app worked to me, at least to format the flash drive I putted in the TV. I could not to record any TV channel, maybe because the model of my flash drive.

WARNING: The real D6500 TV have an internal wifi. Changing the TV model from D6000 to D6500 deactivated the Wireless function. When you alter model to D6500 the "network support" menu of the "option" menu will change to "Int-wifi". You have to manually change to "Ext-wifi". If you have problems, use wired LAN.

After all i restored all the normal options for fear of damaging the TV because I had to fix all these problems.

Sorry for my english. Made with help of Google Translator.

Yes, my model is UN40D6000 and the method [http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Activa ... R_on_D5500] works fine for me. After changing the model for D6500, Smart Hub updates with three news Apps: PVR, Browser and Skype.

PVR works perfectly! Skype works too, but I do not have a compatible camera. The Browser freezes on "updating ..."

So, you are saying that skype works ?
That's wonderful news.
Did you notice anything else that was not working ?
What about 3d ? Will this still work ?
Anyway, what's the change between the D6500 and D6000 on HW side ?
I've ordered a camera, it should arrive within 1-2 weeks. Then I'll report back if it works or not.

Bad news! I had not tested the 3D function. When change for D6500 model only a green screen appears in 3D mode. I hope I can revert to the model D6000 ...

Was the source of the channel/file a 3d one?
I've heared that 3d will not work only if the source is a non 3d one, because the TV tries to upconvert it which the D6500 can, but the D6000 obviously does not have this (maybe it's a HW limitation)

What about skype ? Can you confirm that it's working (at least that the widget starts and you can login ?

And one more thing: I was reading here that the picture quality (or just the menus) have worse quality. Can you confirm this too ? Is it visibly worse or one can live with it?
