Correct me, this TV has T-CHEAUSC on board, right? And the firmware on USA Samsung site is T-CHEAUSC-1012.3... This is not restricted version, btw. You should use it for FFB.

1. what version FFB should I use, v0.5.9 or v0.6.2 ?

On my TV both versions are working, but since some users reported about not downgraded firmwares on CI devices using ;atest version, i recommend to use previuos, v0.5.9 version for CI devices (yours also).

2. what unrestricted original firmware is best for PN58B850?

3.where can I find the image files for PNxxB8XX that are supposed to be here http://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2038?

Use image files for other T-CHEAUSC based models.

Thank you for replying again juuso, I'm glad you had a good weekend. The firmware on the PN58B850 right now is T-CHEAUSC-1018.1 , so I believe it is restricted.

DAMNIT!!. FFB v0.5.9 will NOT copy either it says "unknown error".

I made the mistake of upgrading to the latest OEM samsung firmware on the PN58B850 just before I found SamyGo.
The only reason I did it is because I thought Samsung maybe fixed some of the video playback issues. But now I can't even fix my own issues. I guess the firmware version 1018.1 has closed off all hacking.

Yes, i knew you get this error. This firmware is really restricted. I told you how to copy games to TV, but seems you hadn`t success. Might something wrong is at our side, will check and fix. Stay tuned. I`m pretty sure you can downgrade.

will the same happen with FFB v0.6.2?

Same with all SamyGO games.

BTW, here was a problem on server side, now you can try again (install widget).
