Well, at Latam you have some limitations... (UN40B7000)
Argentina has the service restricted but entering the hidden menu you can enable wiselink with content only from Brazil.

At Brazil you don't have the Yahoo widget, instead you'll find Terra widgets like the weather forecast for Brazilian cities and youtube.
It's just annoying and frustrating that a TV sold saying it has online content it really doesn't have it for your country.
Additionally to this, the UN40B6000 only has one USB and it doesn't have the lan port (that's the reason why I got the Series 7).

Do you have the ability to see youtube's HD videos or it only shows at SD?

I'm looking for a Facebook and Ebay widget for my LE55B650T2P bought in Italy. I tried to connect from my TV to all foreing "widget server" changing my "country profile" and dowloading many widget NOT PESENT in my country (ItalY), and IT WORK but FB and EBAY widget ARE NOT present. Do you know if I will be able to download FB end EBAY widget for My TV. If NOT ...anybody knows if I can Upgrading my FW from 650 LCD to 700 LED TV to install these widget made just for LED models (as Samsung customer care answer me)?
Thanks in advance for help
Facebook widget from Yahoo! has just appeared in UK gallery in last few days, so try again. It doesn't load after installation on my B650 with 2005.1 FW as it depends on a Framework library 1.2 and my TV only has versions up to 1.1.

However, a fix has been posted in the Yahoo developer forum, and I confirm it works. Very easy for SamyGO user with Telnet access.

Basically, you just edit the file init.js once the widget is installed, changing 1.2 to 1.1. This worked for me.

Code: Select all

cd mtd_down/widget/data/Widgets/Installed/com.yahoo.widgets.tv.facebook.widget/Content/Source
vi init.js
/1.2<enter>
llr1
:w<enter>
:q<enter>
Alternative fix needs a copy of 1.2 files, part of the development kit.

Virtual keyboard is working well enough for me to sign in and search. I didn't go any further.

Maybe you and the yahoo user have a different firmware. T-CHL7DEUC doesn't have that file path for the Framework files - instead it's
mtd_down/widget/data/Overlay/Script/Framework/kontx/0.1.0
through
mtd_down/widget/data/Overlay/Script/Framework/kontx/1.1

I presume that the 1.2 directory would be copied to kontx, with no need to rename or symlink anything.

Hello,

after changing the framework directory, I made a reset of the widget system. In result, the TV does not initialize the widget system anymore. This means that there is something more to do than only replacing the framework directory to make a real upgrade.

By the way, if I change the PNP country to Poland or Russia, I still have the Yahoo widget system running. Are there any tricks to force the TV to install alternatives to Yahoo?
