8 - panel number (0: 1st; 1: 2nd ...)
E - backlighting (C: CFFL; L: LED; E: Edge LED)

With TV switched off, press the following sequence on the remote:
[MENU] [MUTE] [POWER]
do not change anything in the service menu
then press the power button to exit
if it is a samsung ue55f8000
you could take a picture and post it to your service menu?
