When you open the smart hub, inside the smart hub it doesn't do any updates. After a couple of restarts (after some hours of watching TV) the smart hub is starting doing its updates, before the samygo loads on TV (even we already have the update.disable in the /mtd_down). Do not have any idea what it is updating/restoring.

I also confirm it does not prevent from that mysterious and annoying 10min+ startup updates, sometimes happening several times a day after weeks quiet...
Seeing router activity, nearly nothing is retrieved from internet, but it just killed my root (it is not the first time, Skype libs erased)

ah well, would have been too nice if it worked. seems like samsung even didnt get their disable_sh_update() function right

No, it is not connected to SamyGO.... You did not noticed before that still do updates. I have untouched ES and this update works in the same way.

I have a opposite question. Is it possible to manually update Smart Hub? Take it from one TV and move it to another? Or is it too deeply integrated into firmware?
I ask this because it seems that 2013 Evolution kit seems to be already forgotten by Samsung, it has not received any updates for months... Other F series TV's have newer Smart Hub.

The ES series will never have the Smart Hub 2013 from F Series

it automatically does in background when you have wlan connection
maybe scripting a widget but without any app its not possible in the preferences

I'm not talking about E series. I was talking about updating F series Smart hub v5.221 to v5.23xx.
