You must have already AC3 compliant EDID, I see more and more since I'm preparing an EDID faking patch
Or your STB doesn't care about TV's EDID. Btw, I think you should be able to select "Dolby Digital" as SPDIF out mode on the 5 concerned channels.
Glad to make you happy anyway, and thanks for H feedback

I am indeed happy

That's right, I was always able to select PCM, Dolby Digital and DTS Neo 2:5, but none produced any sound. After the patch all 3 options give sound.

New version, should work for DTS passthrough as well
Tested and working on E. Feedback welcome on other TV series.

Is it working on D series (PS51D6900 firmware T-MST5DEUC)? Ever...?

As title states E/F/H only. Sorry I don't develop for D-mips and I've no idea if it would be possible to port it. I know that I didn't succeed in finding accurate functions to patch on D-arm but no more

I can't confirm that DTS playthrough is working on H-series because in my case the channels (which have the sound problem) only output AC3 by default.
However I can report that I do have sound after applying the DTS version of the patch. But in the tv-menu the option for AC3 is missing/greyed out. All is back to normal when selecting PCM in the init.d file.

I'm not sure any TV channel anywhere broadcast DTS audio (?), you shouldn't use option if you don't need it. I tagged it as "experimental" because I know it could possibly cause strange things. Anyway if you don't "fake EDID" with one of mentioned methods, DTS passthrough shouldn't work at all (some TVs support AC3 by default, but none support DTS), at least until I release FakeEDID patch

Not working for me on PS60F5500 on fw 1120
It looks like samyGOso 1.2.4 problem??
I get this
VDLinux#> samyGOso -d -T -l /mnt/opt/privateer/usr/libso/libHDMIpassthru.so
samyGOso: invalid option -- 'T'
usage: samyGOso -p PID {-c CONFIG | -l LIBNAME [-r (=resident)]} [-d (=debug on)]
Any ideas??

Fixed, now working on PS60F5500 but only if you switch to output after couple of minutes from turning on tv

Obviously you were not using samyGOso v1.2.4 on first try...
Of course you have to wait for SamyGO and startup scripts to be launched. This is not related to patch itself and can't be avoided, sorry

You could get it to start only a few seconds earlier by renaming autostart script to
02_02_HDMIpassthru.init for example.
