Re: Samsung PVR Content Decrypting tool - final
hi,
Same problem with my Ue37ES5500 and software version T-MST10PDEUC-1015.1.
I copy the CONTENTS folder on my PC. Then i use Destroi 1.3.140. I get xxx.ts files but VLC, Super or Mediaplayer cannot read them.
(small or big files). I tried with and without Decrypt AF feature. MDB key retreival method only.
It seems the decrypt key is not at offset 8 in .mdb file (00 00 00 00 00 ...)
Other question: is there somewhere a compatibilty list for USB key?
I currently use a 2.5" Hard disk (My passport 500gb)
Any idea?
Thanks

Re: Samsung PVR Content Decrypting tool - final
hi,
I'm a new member from Belgium. I'm glad that this forum exists, it helped me a lot so far.
The program Destroi looks good, but I have the same problem but with the ES55 8000S.
I got a .ts file, but can't read or can convert it with programs such as anyvideoconverter, totalconverter, vlc.
I also hope that the E series will be supported soon.
kind regards
Brandon

Big thanks to the developers! The tool is great!
It's working perfectly with the recordings of my D7090; tested with HD as well as with non-HD (Decrypt AF is always off). Firmware is the newest (1023.1 I guess).
Just to add a way of transferring the recordings from the TV to the PC: just install an Ubuntu (or similar) on an USB-Stick and boot from it - use it to transfer the data from the external HDD where the recordings are to your internal Windows HDD.
For statistics: I'm decrypting @ approx. 10-16 MB/s on a quad-core@3,2GHz.
The only question left to be clarified now that I have the *.ts files on my HDD: how can I cut and change the format easily to .mpg or to .mkv? Ideally I want to use freeware tools only and transcode as little as possible (i.e. leave the streams as untouched as possible).
I tried already some of the tools mentioned here, but I always get the audio heavily out of sync...
I would highly appreciate some suggestions that work also with HD material - ideally with some steps/short guide...?
I know this is a bit OT, but I think that now where we have this great tool, everybody is also interested in getting some details on how to edit properly the stuff
Thanks in advance!

@Brandonvub: I'm also from Belgium, and I have the same problem. AFAIK, the only tool that can successfully convert the ts files decrypted with destroi to correct ts files is VideoRedo h264. Unfortunately, it is not free, and it can keep only one audio track, and no subtitles. Usually, I prefer to output elementary H264 and AC3 streams, and mux them to mkv with MkvMerge. That's the best way to obtain a file that can be played everywhere. (If VideoRedo has trouble with a specific file, try Tools -> Quick Stream Fix. It resynchronises the video and audio track when there is an error in the original file, and outputs a clean MPEG file, with most drops almost invisible.)
@Plasma: Same reply. VideoRedo seems to be the only reliable tool to cut commercials (frame accurate). The "h264" version of VideoRedo works with HD, but it is expensive. I've tried a lot of free tools, but none work, and anyway, they are not frame accurate, so for me they are not an option. VideoRedo can't output to MKV, but you can use MkvMerge to remux the clean output produced by VideoRedo.
I'm still searching a solution to keep the subtitles and/or teletext streams. It's not easy, especially if you want to remux them with the edited material, as they will not be in sync.

Re: Samsung PVR Content Decrypting tool - final
Hi all
A very big thank you to everyone who has helped develop these great tools, I have followed this thread with great interest for many months and have learnt a huge amount but now i am stuck and need help.
I have a D series samsung Mstar Tv and have installed Samygo as per http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Root_a ... cpu_models . Everything works great virtual usb samba shares, ftp into the TV and I have even used the great "Destroi app from a windows PC to copy and decrypt recording back to the PC for editing and archiving to dvd etc.
My problem is I now don't have a windows pc and would like to be able to save some of my recording onto a PC running linux mint ideally as easily as i could before using Destroi and windows.
I know that if i plug in my portable usb drive that all the recordings are on, into the Linux PC i can see all the files (.srf and .msb etc) and if i try playing one of the decrypted files one that was recorded whilst the samygo app was active it plays OK. But most of my files were timer recordings and are thus DRM encrypted.
Can someone please tell me in simple steps how to decrypt these files using my linux PC. I am a bit of a Linux noobi but learning fast.
Thanks in advance for any help provided
