Haven't tried the new method yet as my F6240 is still on the old firmware.

However, I'm curious to know what this "autostart" function is all about? If all I want is to have occasional ftp access (to manually backup some apps), do I really need to have SamyGo started automatically all the time?

Where can I check to see which version (MST/Non-MST) I need?

What happens, when I unplug the USB drive from my tv?

EDIT: Oh, and does this new method also require Skype to run like the older hack?

The method use autostart to start on every boot, without braking any existing app like the Skype method.

Yes, you can, if you start Auto Start App manually.

Never upgrade your firmware if you want to have SamyGO. SamyGO for now works with the latest, but no warranty about next now.

If your autostart ticker is activated, you will have only unsuccessful attempt to start SamyGO. The further functions on the tv will be not interrupted.

No, the method not require any specific app to be installed.

Thanks.

Just to clarify: If all I want is the occasional FTP access, I don't have to autostart the app. Only start it up manually when I do need FTP access. Right?

Sorry, I wasn't referring to the firmware itself but the two version of the hack provided in the first post. There is one version for "MST" and one for "Non-MST" - and I'm not sure which version I have to use on my particular device.

Yes, but better keep your old firmware with Skype rooting method and Skype patcher if you really need working Skype.

Having permanent FTP access allows to accede it occasionally :)
Surely you can also use new rooting method with old firmware. Anyway, never upgrade.

Almost all your questions have already been answered in this thread...

The rooting of my F80xx showed was with some NO (see picture). - Is it ok, that some things stay NO?

Anyway, the TV was rooted with FTP access. I made SamyGO autostart in SMART Features. But when I restart the TV a window says that there is no network connection. The rooting seems to stop and has to be made manually for root.

I use WLAN without network cabels. Is there a solution?

In addition to my post in this thread I'll add some more information here.
Samsung TV is UE46f6470 with MST Firmware 1120 installed.
The installation of SamyGO succeeded but only a few times after boot I get ftp or telnet access:
Sometimes after installation of a new app, sometimes after changing tv channel in smarthub.
I wonder what goes wrong and hope I'll get an answer here.
TIA

Strange. Usually it is not needed but you might try installing SamyGO_AutoStart from NON-MST method... There might also be some problems if you don't have stable internet connection. Also remember that it may take up to few minutes till SamyGO auto starts:)

Possible to install SamyGO-Autostart over the existing USB Fix?
I'll report if it will be successfull.
My Internet connection is stable and fast!

I have hidden n-WLAN with WPA2. Can SamyGO autostart be some seconds retarded? - How?

My rooting process itself with some NO is ok? Why are there options that are status NO?
