Hi there,
due to the deintall of Skype in june I want to change my root method to this one, but the samyext4.zip link in the first thread is down.
I'm on a downgraded MST 2130 Firmware. Is it save to upgrade to 2781 and then reroot with this method ?

Right, 403 forbidden, guess admin have to look into it
Better keep your current fw and never upgrade as usual, even if you change rooting method.

i have a similar problem. root worked fine for several weeks (with some crashes of my tv every now and then, but that was at least acceptable). since some days no root possible anymore. usb stick is ok, i checked it. but telnet only via port 3123 possible. any ideas?

Yeah of course. You should ASK (correctly) for help in rooting thread. Unless you ONLY wanted to share your experience and want to fix it yourself ?:)

hi,
ok, i understand.

i just checked with another usb stick, and there it is working fine. that means that the tv ate 2 usb sticks within 2 months... is there any chance to decrease write-accesses on the usb disk?
regards,
astrakid

Yes, write less data to it. BTW I use mine for two years and no problems. My advise would be to simply NOT use shitty usb sticks
